Just a quick post about tonight's sunset. It was spectacular after a spectacular day. Clouds started moving in from the west and the sky turned red. Red sky at night, shepherd's delight. Whatever that means.
Amended as per comment below: Red sky at night, Sailor's delight. Here is something I found on the internet about the saying: Origin of the Rhyme
I had always heard it as "red sky at night sailor's delight". I always thought that meant there would be calm seas.
ReplyDeleteWanderin', you are absolutely right. I don't know why I said Shepherds. Maybe it is still left over from Christmas.
ReplyDeleteWhat a pretty shot. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteRed sky at night, sailor's delight. Red sky at morning, sailor's warning! I just thought it has to do with being at sea. Love your pictures...
