Motorhome Fire
A motor home in Indio burst into flames this morning in Indio. Here is the report from MyDesert.com. I read elsewhere online that it was caused by the fridge. That is scary!

Walking on the sea wall
Michael, Virginia and I went down to see the "high" waves at Carlsbad Beach. The morning was gloomy and there was a heavy marine layer of fog. The coolest day we have had so far. Anyway, it was pleasant and we enjoyed watching the surfers catching the waves. As you can see from the photo, Virginia is doing well, considering she was knocking at the pearly gates just a month ago. Those who know her can see that she is no longer wearing the wig and now has her own hair. She is thrilled.

More pictures of the Motor Home
Here is a picture from the front passenger side. It really looks a lot bigger in the real world. The RV is built on a Ford F450 V10 chassis, so there is a lot of power. Uses a lot of gas as well and we will be using the 2x2x2 rule once we start travelling. This rule is travel no more than 200 miles a day. Get to your destination by 2 pm and always stay at least 2 days. We will probably be staying a lot longer at each stop and the longer you stay, the cheaper the daily rate. You can usually get a site for 7 nights for the price of 6.The queen sized bed has storage under it, as well as the freshwater tank. Cupboards on either side of the bed are a night table with a drawer and a shirt closet.
