The unit also removes the taste of chlorine in water and leaves it sweet tasting. The great thing about this particular unit, is that it runs off 12 volts, so is perfect for the RVer and boondocker. It has just arrived here at the condo so we will be trying it here first. At the beginning of March we will be boondocking for a few days. At that time we will do some taste tests on water from the fresh tank (which has not been sanitized for quite a while!).
