Around Hilton Head

Where are we today?

We stayed 4 nights at this RV Resort at a cost of $49 per night. The resort is very well taken of. Meticulously neat and clean. Free wifi abd cable are included in the price. When you get there you are given a map with all available sites and you then go and pick one. We stayed near the front of the resort in the less treed area so that we were able to get the satellite easily. The sites are all concrete and (for the most part) level. Narrow, but long enough to take the longest rigs. We could walk along the harbor front and see all the boats moored there. The resort is right at the entrance to Hilton Head just after crossing the bridge. The only downside is to get out of the resort and make a left turn to go further into Hilton Head, you have to cross the busiest road on the island. Very time consuming waiting for all that traffic to pass.

The Marina

The sites are even long enough for big motorhomes such as this Prevost

On Friday Sheila took us on a tour of Hilton Head Island. We went up the lighthouse to see the view from up there. Here are some photos of that trip.

    1. Not this year. We may make it as far as Texas. Not liking the humidity in Florida, so we may go west next year.
